ESNSA offers multiple team options designed to meet athletes where they are—whether they are new to Nordic skiing or pursuing higher levels of competition.
The Mammoth Middle School Nordic Team is open to student-athletes ages 11 to 14 and includes students from Mammoth Middle School, surrounding private schools, and home-schooled families in the region. This program introduces athletes to the fundamentals of Nordic skiing in a fun, supportive team environment.
The focus at this level is skill development, coordination, fitness, and enjoyment of the sport. Practices emphasize technique, teamwork, and confidence, with opportunities to participate in age-appropriate local and regional competitions.
The Mammoth High School Nordic Team serves students enrolled at Mammoth High School who are interested in continuing their Nordic skiing development at the high school level. This program builds on foundational skills while introducing more structured training and competitive opportunities.
Athletes work on improving endurance, technique, and race strategy while maintaining a healthy balance between academics and athletics. Team culture, accountability, and sportsmanship are core elements of this program.
The Eastside Academy Nordic Team is designed for local student-athletes who are home-schooled or pursuing alternative academic pathways. This team provides a flexible structure that allows athletes to train at a high level while accommodating individualized academic schedules.
Athletes in this program train alongside high school-level peers, focusing on technical development, conditioning, and competitive readiness in a supportive and adaptable environment.
The Mammoth Nordic Racing Competition Team (NMR) is for high school athletes seeking a more advanced and competitive Nordic skiing experience. This program is designed for athletes who are motivated to commit to extended training schedules and compete at higher levels.
The competition team includes additional practice days, advanced technique and conditioning work, and participation in larger regional and national events. Athletes in this program are challenged to develop discipline, resilience, and leadership while representing ESNSA at a broader competitive level.
